Terms

The deal between you and Everfor, in plain words.

Who runs this

  • Everfor is run by its founder, an individual in North Carolina, United States. "We" on this page means Everfor and the people who run it.
  • Everfor is a fan site for World of Warcraft: Forever. It is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.
  • You need to be 13 or older to make an account.
  • One account per person.
  • Using the site means you agree to these terms and to the Rules of the hall. If you do not agree, do not use it.

Your account

  • You sign in with Discord, Google or a link we email you. We never see a password.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your email and your Discord or Google account safe, and tell us if someone else gets in.
  • Your handle follows the rules like everything else.
  • Staff can take back a handle that pretends to be someone else or uses a trademark that is not yours, and ask you to pick another.

What you post

  • What you post stays yours: builds, guides, comments, screenshots and the rest.
  • So the site can work, you give Everfor a non-exclusive licence to show, store, resize and share it on everfor.gg, in share cards and in the digest.
  • Guides you send to review are published to everyone under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, and you give Everfor a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to host, edit and publish them. Your byline stays on. The guide editor asks before anything goes to review.
  • Post only what you have the right to post, and credit what is not yours.
  • Delete your account and your posts go with it: from the site at once, from our backups within 90 days (see Privacy).

The rules

  • The Rules of the hall say what is fine here and what is not. They are part of these terms.
  • When a rule is broken, staff can hide a post, warn you, or suspend your account for a day, a week or for good.
  • Every warning and suspension comes with a notice naming the rule. You get one appeal: write to legal@everfor.gg within 7 days and a person reads it.
  • Bots and spam accounts can be silenced without notice.

Patron and paying

  • Patron of the Hall is a way to keep Everfor going. It buys cosmetics only: a badge, a gold-leaf name and a profile frame. Never XP, standing in the hall or weight on votes.
  • Stripe takes the payment. Everfor never sees or stores your card.
  • Prices are in US dollars and shown at checkout before you pay. Patron renews each month or year until you cancel.
  • Cancel any time from the billing page. You keep Patron to the end of the period you paid for.
  • Changed your mind about a charge? Ask and we refund it in full, no questions, however long ago it was. Write to hello@everfor.gg.
  • Founders (the first 100 members) pay the founders' price while their membership stays unbroken; stop and come back later and you pay the standard price.
  • Founder spots: the first 100 accounts that finish signing up get Everbound free for 3 months from the day Everbound opens for payment, and keep the Founder frame and title. One spot per person; a second account does not get another. Spots can run out.
  • Sponsors are always labelled. They never target you and never get your data.

Blizzard's work

  • World of Warcraft's art, names and game data belong to Blizzard Entertainment. Everfor uses them under the terms Blizzard sets for fan sites, and credits them.
  • If Blizzard asks us to take something down, it comes down. Our Blizzard and Everfor page says how.
  • Everfor is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.

What we promise and what we do not

  • Everfor is a hobby run by one person. The site is provided as it is, with no promise that it is always up, fast or free of mistakes.
  • We do our best to keep it running and to keep your data safe, as Privacy describes.
  • Keep your own copy of anything that matters to you. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost builds, guides or posts, or for more than what you paid Everfor in the last 12 months.
  • Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you where you live.

Ending things

  • You can leave any time from Settings (Close my account), or write to hello@everfor.gg from the address on your account. Your handle is held for 30 days in case you change your mind; after that it is free and your data is gone from the site (backups: 90 days, see Privacy).
  • We can close an account that breaks the rules or the law, with the notice and appeal above.

Changes

  • When these terms change in a way that matters, we say so on the site before the change takes effect, and the version number at the bottom goes up.
  • Keep using Everfor after that and the new terms apply. If you do not agree with them, you can leave.

Which law

  • These terms follow the law of North Carolina, United States.
  • If one part of them turns out not to hold, the rest still does.
  • Something wrong? Write to us first. Most things are sorted with a reply.
